Tournament Format – Tulsa Attack

General Info
  • Clean your Bench Every Match!
  • Warm-ups will be 4-4 for initial match and 3-3 for later matches. Serve within your time.
  • R-1(up official will be provided) while teams will provide R-2, Score/Flip, Libero Tracker, and 2 Line Judges
    • Have your team ready to officiate at the conclusion of the previous match; report to the R1 official.
  • Awards by Division
  • 11s Only – Allowed to step onto court up to black line for serving
Bracket on Sunday
  • Review officiating and playing assignments in AES; some teams will officiate the previous match before playing match one.
  • Some teams will have two consolation matches; everyone will play a minimum of two matches. A team may play after losing the second match of the day.
  • Losing Team Officiates – AES will pre-assign both playing teams to officiate the next round of bracket.  AES will not determine the officiating team until after the previous match concludes and scores are entered; in most cases, the losing team will officiate on the same court.

  • 5-team round robin Saturday only
    • four matches guaranteed
    • no repeat matches
    • no bracket – winner takes all
12s –  Wave Time 7:45
  • Traditional four team pools
  • Top two 3rd place finishers advance to gold in order of the following criteria.
    • best match %
    • best set %
    • best point ratio
13s –  Wave Time 7:45
  • Pools 1 and 2 – three team pools with crossover matches immediately following pool play to determine seeding for first and teams advancing to gold – losers go to silver
    • 1st Pool 1 vs 1st Pool B to determine the 1-2 seeds
    • 2nd Pool 1 vs 3rd Pool 2 – winner to gold
    • 2nd Pool 2 vs 3rd Pool 1 – winner to gold
14s –  Wave Time 7:45
  • Pool 1 – 10:00 (3-team pool)
    • 3-team Pool will play an automatic 3 sets to 25
  • Pools 2-5 – 7:45
  • Bracket
    • Gold – top two teams in each pool
    • Silver – 3rd place finishers plus best 4th finisher
      • best match %
      • best set %
      • best point ratio
    • Bronze – remaining 4th place finishers in each pool
15s –  Wave Time 7:45 or 2:30
  • AM Wave – Pool 5
  • PM Wave – Pools 1-4
  • Pools 1 and 2 – three team pools with crossover matches immediately following pool play to determine seeding for first and teams advancing to gold – losers go to silver
    • 1st Pool 1 vs 1st Pool B to determine the 1-2 seeds
    • 2nd Pool 1 vs 3rd Pool 2 – winner to gold

  • 4-team round robin and bracket Saturday
